Today, we’re very happy to announce a major update to our cleaner and uninstaller for macOS, TrashMe 3. This version 3.3 includes a new “Extensions” section, a completely redesigned Smart Mode and dozen of improvements and fixes.

The Smart Mode of TrashMe 3 is an extension located in the system menu bar, with three main features: automatically detect any app you put in the Trash, in order to uninstall it properly display an alert when the Trash is full monitor the health of your Mac, like processor activity, memory usage, battery and network status, or even disk available space. With TrashMe 3.3, we’ve completely redesigned the Smart Mode with a gorgeous user interface that fits macOS Big Sur standard. We’ve also added more information in the Network and Memory sections and a new “Graphics” section to monitor the state of the graphic card in use. Last, you can now customize the shortcuts at the bottom of the menu, to launch your favorite apps. We’ve added a separate new section to list all extensions installed on your Mac: preference panes, plugins, screen savers, Safari extensions and widgets. Similarly to our app uninstaller feature, you can now easily remove any extension from your system. Recently, we’ve introduced two widgets for macOS Big Sur. The first one will monitor your disk usage, memory usage and battery status. The other one will monitor the battery status of your Mac, bluetooth accessories and even your AirPods! The appearance of these widgets can be customized and macOS Dark mode is fully supported. This update is free for all users of TrashMe 3. Users of previous version 2 can upgrade with with a discounted price. We’re very proud to announce that TrashMe 3, our cleaner and uninstaller for macOS, is now available on the Mac App Store. Version 3 of TrashMe has been launched few months ago with a new modern user interface, an improved speed in all tasks and many new features like a duplicate finder, a disk overview and menubar extension to monitor the health of your Mac. We promised a release of TrashMe 3 on the Mac App Store before the end of the year, and here it is. This version has the same set of features than the regular version available on our webstore. However, due to Apple restrictions, we’ve been forced to adapt the app a little bit (check the differences in our Frequently Asked Questions).Īlong with this announcement, we offer a new version 3.1.1 for all our users. This new version adds an history of all cleaning actions and improves the speed of the uninstaller tool.
